In 1981, Garth began his IT career in Toronto, Ontario, studying at the Honeywell Institute for Continuing Studies. Following a two year stint of programming at Nixdorf Computer in the UK, he moved to the City software house CCF... that became Quotient... that was bought by ACT Financial Systems! During his seven years there Garth worked on the design and development of software products for trading rooms, stockbroking settlement, institutional investors and Stock Exchange integration.

Today, in addition to running Solidsoft, Garth presents at various forums on the use of Microsoft's .NET architecture and represents Solidsoft on the Microsoft Partner Advisory Council for e-Business.
